Thanksgiving Day Meals for Veterans

Fort Worth Food Banks

Little things make you thankful. So many blessings we take for granted. Having food on the table Thanksgiving day or any day is not a guarantee for some.

The holidays are the perfect time to reach out and say thank you to those who have served our country. Whether you are looking for help or wanting to share the bounty of your own table, here are some organizations in Arlington, Fort Worth, and around DFW serving veterans and their families, who can help you share your blessings with those in need.

Thanksgiving Donations:

Often what is most needed is shelf stable food– something that is well sealed and doesn’t need to be consumed right away. Check with the organization first for details on what they need and where to drop off donations.

Donate non-perishable items for Thanksgiving baskets & veteran meals!

More Ways to Help

Fun Run – A 5k fun run is also a great way to raise money for a donation to a foodbank or charitable organization. Ask friends and family to sponsor your run in honor of your preferred organization. Burn some calories to make room for Thanksgiving dinner, all for a good cause.

Suggestion: Annual Fort Worth Grub Run They ask that you bring 5 cans of food to be donated to the Tarrant Area Food Bank.
