The mission of Allies in Service is to identify and support veterans who need assistance in the areas of employment, housing, education, and health care. The focus on employment is a career orientation, career leads and referrals, and Warrior Mentorship Program.

Attitudes & Attire

Attitudes & Attire® is a non-profit agency dedicated to promoting personal growth for women seeking self-sufficiency. Our program provides tools that raise self-esteem, promote ethics, and build the confidence to develop successful life skills. As a complement to our core program, we offer our Boots to Heels program with seminars exclusively for veterans. These special group sessions give female veterans the camaraderie of being with peers who understand the unique experiences that have impacted them and the challenges they face when returning home.

Fort Worth Resource Connection

The Resource Connection is a 268 acre campus of health, education, employment and human service agencies located in a one-stop environment, formed to share resources and solve problems together. The campus, formerly the Fort Worth State School, located north of Interstate 20 off Campus Drive near the south campus of Tarrant County College, co-locates a wide variety of agencies and services in a campus environment, and is accessible by public transportation.

VA Homeless Veterans Stand Downs

Stand Downs are typically one- to three-day events providing supplies and services to homeless Veterans, such as food, shelter, clothing, health screenings and VA Social Security benefits counseling. Veterans can also receive referrals to other assistance such as health care, housing solutions, employment, substance use treatment and mental health counseling. They are collaborative events, coordinated between local VA Medical Centers, other government agencies and community-based homeless service providers.

VET Worthy

Provides military veterans, spouses, children, and caretakers with connections to career and financial planning, job development, and skills training support. In Addiction, military families are connected to the necessary community resources such as mental health counseling, housing assistance, food assistance, and legal aid. The program specifically targets post 9/11 veterans and female veterans however, it is open to any veteran with a discharge other than dishonorable.
